Coming soon to Palazzo Fava. Exhibition Centre, from October 27th, 2023, to February 11th, 2024, Genus Bononiae, together with Cassa di Risparmio Foundation in Bologna, presents Concetto Pozzati XXL: the first retrospective exhibition of the artist’s work held in a museum venue after his passing. The exhibition is curated by Maura Pozzati, art critic and professor, curator, and director of the Concetto Pozzati Archive.

Approximately fifty artworks, including some previously unseen or long-unexhibited pieces, ranging from large-scale paintings to three-dimensional works and works on paper, all from the Concetto Pozzati Archive, form an organic and captivating overview, shedding light on the artist’s most significant and lesser-known productions.

Pozzati (Vo’ Vecchio, Padua, 1935 – Bologna, 2017) had long dreamed of realizing a large-scale exhibition of his works in Bologna. Genus Bononiae and the Concetto Pozzati Archive fulfill the artist’s desire, paying homage to his extensive body of work in painting, graphics, intellect, and humanity with this exhibition.
