Ilario
Fioravanti

Born from the partnership between Genus Bononiae and Il Vicolo, this exhibition celebrates the Cesena sculptor and architect Ilario Fioravanti (Cesena 1922 – Savignano sul Rubicone 2022). It is part of the comprehensive “1922-2022 Fioravanti 100!” project, created and organised by Il Vicolo – Art Section of Cesena, on the occasion of the 100^th anniversary of the artist’s birth.

Among the various works that Fioravanti has created over the years, the exhibition will feature his famous Compianto (Lamentation), which finds a natural placement in the exhibition spaces of Santa Maria della Vita, emphasising the intense connection between his art and the extraordinary sculptures of Niccolò Dell’Arca housed in the Sanctuary.
