What does Corto Maltese read?

Thursday 19 January 2017 – A guided tour of the exhibition to examine the many literary quotes found in all Corto Maltese’s adventures. The characters in the “Ballad” all read important books. Pandora appears nonchalantly with a piece written by Melville and Cain reads Coleridge, author of “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner”. It almost seems that Pratt’s characters reflect his taste, or, as Umberto Eco (a fan of comics) says in his preface to the book “…they are all better read than he is”.
