During the Christmas period, Santa Maria della Vita hosts the exhibition “Wolfango’s Nativity“, curated by the daughter of the artist Alighiera Peretti Poggi.
Wolfango began to mold the statues of his Nativity in 1964 to let his children experience the magic he had lived as a child.
The painter, who used to call himself “the agnostic who likes the crib”, modeled 200 terracotta figurines depicting religious moments and faces of illustrious Bolognese characters and not only.
In the Oratory on the upper floor you can admire the preparatory sketches and the sketches of the statues realized by the Bolognese artist.
