In the Art and History Library of San Giorgio in Poggiale, the SpritzBook festival returns for a second edition. Following last year’s great success, in this second cycle of meetings, realised in collaboration with ONO Arte Contemporanea, at 9 pm the Library will turn into a sort of club where readings, music, video projections, spritzs and glasses of wines will mix up together.
Eight shows inspired by the current Exhibition on display in Palazzo Pepoli, Street Art – Banksy & Co. Art in the Urban Form, to ideally link the two locations of Genus Bononiae museum itinerary. The journey will start with Bowie’s library to arrive in Berlin city of rock exiles, it will enter the pop world studied by Umberto Eco, it will follow the groupies in tour with rockbands, it will go through the streets recreated by street artists and writers or it will explore the world visions according to the Big Lebowski.
On occasion of the second appointment, Friday 15th April, a photography Exhibition dedicated to Jean-Michel Basquiat will be inaugurated: original pictures taken by Lee Jaffie during the private life of the artist or at work in the streets of New York crawling with creative stimuli. Jaffie himself, in occasion of the event scheduled on 4th may dedicated to street art, will talk as an eye witness (he is himself a well rounded artist who even played in Bob Marley’s band) about Basquiat and that world.
During each event there will be a different soundtrack created by the dj Bebe La Maitresse who plays only with vintage vinil records of the 1960’s, whereas the Library’s nave will be animated with the visions created by visual designers Retrophuture&Marg8 that were also protagonists of the first edition. In addition to that, an actor or actress will accompany the public into these psychedelic tours: from the showman Matteo Belli to Katia Pietrobelli and Martina Bacher.
Every appointment will be accompanied by an aperitif provided by Ruggine.
